Royal Enfield has made a bold move in the adventure motorcycle category with the official launch of its much-anticipated Scram 440. Priced at ₹2.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai), the 2025 Scram 440 is available in two exciting variants—Trail and Force—and succeeds the outgoing Scram 411. With a more robust engine, enhanced hardware, and modern upgrades, the Scram 440 aims to redefine the mid-range ADV segment.
Let’s dive into all the details of this rugged new ride.
Scram 440 Engine: More Power, Smoother Ride
Under the hood, the Scram 440 is powered by a new 443cc air-cooled, single-cylinder Long Stroke engine, delivering 25.4 bhp at 6,250 rpm and a peak torque of 34 Nm at 3,400 rpm. This represents a 4.5% increase in power and 6.5% boost in torque compared to the Scram 411, making the ride more responsive and energetic.
A 3mm increase in bore size contributes to improved torque at lower revs, allowing for faster acceleration from standstill—a huge plus for off-road and city riding alike.
Another major enhancement is the inclusion of a 6-speed gearbox, replacing the previous 5-speed setup. Along with a lighter clutch, this upgrade ensures a smoother and more refined riding experience, especially during long-distance touring.
